Guidelines And Timetable For The Conduct Of Cross River 2023 Local Government Council Elections

The Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission, CROSIEC, has released guidelines and timetables for the conduct of 2023 local government elections in the State.

The Commission had on May 20, 2022, issued the notice in line with section 20 subsections 1 and 2 of the act establishing the Commission in the State.

It states that political parties are to conduct primaries for Chairmanship and Councilorship positions between October 1, 2022, and October 21, 2022. The collection and submission of the list of proposed candidates are slated for October 24th through November 24th, 2022.
