A full trailer load of cement with registration number, Lagos FST-135-XW, has claimed the life of eight passengers and a driver along Ibiaye in Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State.
At press time, the root cause of the accident can not be ascertained but eyewitnesses say the trailer fell on a Siena bus while commuters have fingered the bad state of the Ikom-Calabar highway as the course.
Sources disclosed that the driver, Mr. Bassey Loways, and all passengers are from Ekori in Yakurr, where the Siena loaded from. The incident has however caused gridlock on the only route into or out of the State.
