The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Cross River State has moved the collation of the 2023 governorship and state house of assembly election result to Sunday 19 March 2023 by 5 p.m.

The cause of the move at that time cannot be ascertained if it is to enable local government Collation Officers to arrive or reschedules of voting since there have been reports of violence in some polling units.

Recalled that last presidential and national assembly collation at INEC headquarters, Calabar was marred with shiftings due to the late arrival of LGAs Collation Officers.
