The Young Progressives Party, YPP, in Cross River State has called for the immediate release of its deputy governorship candidate – Prince Agbor Onyi, and three others who were kidnapped along the Calabar-Ugep highway.
They were kidnapped on Thursday, March 16 at the Akparavuni axis in Biase Local Government Area.
In a press release issued by the State chapter of YPP through the Secretary, Fedrick Omari said the party received the news with “rude shock and depressing” and has left the party “broken, bruised and distressed.”
Omari disclosed that the abductors are already demanding a huge amount of money as ransom noting that the timing of the kidnap is very devastating to the party and is a very serious concern to the party.
The Party however called on the Nigerian Police and all security agencies to swing into action with unaccustomed alacrity for their release.
