Cross River State Governor, Sen. Bassey Otu has approved the constitution of a committee to review the State’s public service rules.
The 21 members committee has been given 90 days to carry out their assignment from the date of their inaugural meeting.
This was contained in a press release signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nsa Gill, stating that Committee members are expected to report to the office of the Secretary to the State Government for further directives.
The release reads “His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, the Governor of Cross River State, has approved the constitution of a committee to review the State’s public/civil service rules.
“The 21 members committee is given 90 days to carry out its assignment from the date of inaugural meeting. Membership of the Committee includes: Ededem C. Ani, Esq. (Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice) Legal Adviser, Dr. Innocent Eteng (Head of Service) Chairman, Mrs. Rosemary Obanya (Former Head of Service) Alternate Chairman, Peter A. Bassey, Esq, (Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary) Member.
“Also Mr. Emmanuel Egban, (Permanent Secretary Local Government Service Commission) – Member, Dr. (Mrs.) Atim Ekpenyong, (Permanent Secretary Public Service Matters – Member, Mr.Enang Obeten (Director of Admin.Head of Service Office) Member, Dr.Sampson Ogar, (Rtd. Permanent Secretary) Member, Elder Emmanuel Eke (Rtd. Permanent Secretary) Member, Com.Monday Unoh Ogbodum (Chairman TUC) – Member, Mr.Emmanuel Ogar Etta (Rtd. Permanent Secretary) – Member.
