Gov. Otu Visits Bereaved Forestry Commission Chairman, O’ben-Etchi

Cross River Governor, Senator Bassey Otu on Monday visited the Chairman of the State’s forestry commission, Rt. Hon. George O’ben-Etchi who is bereaved, to offer condolences.

Mrs. Faith O’ben-Etchi, the wife of the former two term State lawmaker, passed on Friday night.

Mrs. Faith, an entrepreneur and founder of SexyByFaith, a clothing, apparels, and adult store passed on after she slumped while dancing salsa, family sources told CrossRiverWatch.

And, Governor Otu took to his Twitter handle on Tuesday morning to share images of his visit to the forestry commission boss, while praying that God comforts his family.

“Losing a loved one is profoundly sad, and I pray that God brings comfort to him and his family, especially the little ones left behind,” Otu wrote.

George, who also served as a two term Commissioner is said to be devastated and in tears.

Married for near two decades, the duo share three children together.
