Obudu LG Chairman Terminates Revenue Contracts, Disband Checkpoints

As part of ways to promote transparency and accountability, the Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Council, Hon. Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, has terminated all existing revenue contracts and agreements with immediate effect.

According to a statement signed by Ikwen Atuaka, Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, the Council Director of Finance and Supplies (DFS) will oversee revenue collection until a new structure is implemented.

Security agencies have been mandated to enforce the removal of all unauthorized checkpoints throughout the LGA, as anyone caught violating the directive will be arrested and prosecuted.

The Chairman solicited the cooperation and immediate compliance of all residents, parents, guardians and community leaders, urging them to advise their wards to adhere to the warning.
