While it was a significant and memorable day last week’s Good Friday, it turned into a sad day for 23 year-old Catholic Church worshiper, Elizabeth Awhobiwom Ukah.
Elizabeth Awhobiwom, a Catholic and Parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church, Big-Qua Town, Calabar of Cross River State, had last week (Good Friday) after taking part at the Station of the Cross, on her way home, was carried away by flood, at Eastern Secondary School, close to Ika-Ika Oqua Market, Calabar Municipal LGA.
The tragedy led to her body missing. But according to an eyewitness, her body was found on Tuesday, April 22, 225 and has been deposited in a mortuary.
A source close to the deceased said the corpse will be taken to her hometown of Ohong, Obudu LGA on Wednesday (today).
Until her death, Elizabeth was a student of School of Federal Nursing Sciences, Moore Road, Calabar.
Her death married the same day the Catholic family were mourning the departing of Pope Francis.
