The Government of Cross River State, has encouraged residents of the state to participate in the month environmental sanitation.
The monthly exercise was paused last month to enable students writing the 2025 Joint Administration and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations in the state have eased movement in the morning hours.
The announcement for this month’s sanitation was contained in a statement sign by the Commissioner of Environment Hon. Moses Osogi.
“The General Public is hereby informed that the statewide Environmental Sanitation Exercise for the month of May, 2025 will hold on Saturday, 31st May, 2025. Restriction of human and vehicular movements begins from 7:00 a.m to 10 a.m except for those on essential duties,” the announcement stated.
Residents, and business owners in the state are enjoined to participate in the cleaning of their surroundings, drainages and evacuate their wastes during the period.
The government warned that defaulter would be prosecuted.
