The Cross River State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that the two children earlier reported missing and subsequently found, whose cases were circulated on the media between 26th and 28th January 2026 respectively, are currently in the custody of the State Social Welfare Home.
Their respective parents have been identified and are presently filing and completing the necessary documentation for the formal release and reunification of the children in line with established child-protection procedures.
The Command appreciates members of the public and media partners for their cooperation, vigilance, and responsible information sharing, which contributed significantly to locating the parents.
This process underscores the Command’s commitment to the safety, welfare, and lawful handling of minors.
“Thank you for your continued support,” Cross River State Police Command spokesman, ASP Eitokpah Sunday, said in a press release issued late Thursday 5th , February, 2026.
