The Cross River State Ministry of Education has announced the commencement of sales of admission forms for the 2026/2027 academic session into Federal Science Colleges located in Ogoja, Cross River State, and Sokoto State.
The announcement was contained in a press release issued by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Mrs. Offiong Ani Offiong, on behalf of the Commissioner for Education.
According to the ministry, the admission exercise is open to candidates seeking placement into Senior Secondary School One (SS1) in the two Federal Government owned science colleges.
The ministry stated that candidates who possess the Basic Certificate Examination result, as well as those awaiting the release of their results, are eligible to apply for admission.
The statement noted that admission forms are currently available for purchase at the Schools Department of the Ministry of Education in Calabar.
It further explained that the institutions are specialized Federal Science Colleges designed to promote science based education and are located in Ogoja and Sokoto respectively.
As part of the admission process, an entrance examination has been scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the West African People’s Institute (WAPI), Calabar, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
The Ministry of Education advised parents and guardians to prepare their wards adequately for the examination and take advantage of the opportunity provided by the Federal Government colleges.
The ministry urged interested candidates and their parents to obtain the admission forms promptly and ensure compliance with all application requirements ahead of the examination date.
