The National Association of Beauty Queens & Kings over the weekend bestowed their Patron award on Calabar businessman and philanthropist, Mr. Jessy Ejemot.
Officials of the association in a chat with CrossRiverWatch after a brief presentation ceremony in Calabar said they travelled all the way from Port Harcourt to honor Mr. Ejemot who they described a “man with a generous heart for the pageant industry and the younger generation.”
According to the National President of the Association, Hon. Evang. Ukeme Michael, “Mr. Ejemot is a great pillar for the pageantry industry in this country. It is just that he, like the Cross River State governor, does not like to blow his trumpet. He is doing a lot of things to assist young people fulfill their dreams and that is why we have decided to come and honor him.
“He is a great philanthropist and we are convinced that this award that we have come all the way from Port Harcourt to give to him will spur him to strive to do more for the growth of our industry and the general well being of young people.”
In his reaction, Mr. Ejemot expressed delight and appreciation for the award and promised to continue his philanthropy.
“I am very happy about the award. Any time work is rewarded it brings delight. I accept the award and promise that by God’s grace, I will continue to reach out and support younger people realize their dreams.” He said.
