Essien Ayi Solicits Constituency Support To Oust Buhari, Asks To Be Returned For 5th Term

By Deborah Obot

“It has been said that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar cannot travel to USA, but as I speak to you, Alhaji Atiku visited Trump International Hotel in Washington DC. The indices are changing and the APC knows that they no longer have a number to win and it is clear that APC will loose in the upcoming election which entails that our President will be sent back to Daura”.

That’s an assertion by Hon. Essien Ayi, PDP candidate vying to return to the House of Representatives to represent Calabar South/Akpabuyo/Bakassi constituency during his campaign flag off.

In his declaration speech he went on to say that, “I further urge you all to give your full and total support to our Presidential candidate, His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, our digital Governor, Sen. Ben Ayade and all other candidates of our great party in the Federal constituency to bring our people out of this poverty inflicted on them by the APC.”

Reeling out his achievements from representing Calabar South/Akpabuyo/Bakassi four times, he said: “We have achieved quite a lot together in the 15years. I may not have touched everybody individually, I sincerely believe that, this coming PDP administration will give everyone the opportunity to do more to as many as we possibly can.

“I have also facilitated 500 million naira skills acquisition empowerment of the displaced people and returnees in Bakassi local government, in poultry, detergent making, confectionery and bakery, through the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs. I also facilitated the distribution of 150 tricycles to 150 unemployed youths, through the same Ministry.

“In conclusion the good news is that 2019, the PDP will take over and that will avail me the opportunity to table the unpaid bills in the House and have them passed for the newly elected PDP President to sign it into law, not in the manner as President Buhari signed the North East Development Commission bill. Also that this is the final resettlement we all seek for the Bakassi people, it is my passion which I must see to it completion.” He concluded.
