A bill on the Prohibition of Discrimination Against Persons Living with Disability, sponsored by the Member representing Obudu/Obanliku/Bekwara Federal Constituency, has been signed into Law by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The bill, imposes fines of N100, 000 and N1, 000, 000 respectively for individuals and corporate bodies or a six months prison term among others.
Notice of the Presidential assent was contained in letter from the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang, dated 23rd January, 2019.
