The renovated secretariat of the Cross River State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) was last weekend commissioned by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Professor Florence Obi.
The Chairman, Daniel Obo had told CrossRiverWatch that the NYCN was no longer been taken serious and as part of his moves to change that, will get a befitting secretariat.
Despite initial concerns that the process that threw him up as Chairman were not transparent, Mr. Obo is said to have settled in and has been active in order to redeem the battered image of the organization which is the umbrella body of youth organizations in the State.
The event was attended by invitees across different social class and divides.
