Afri-net Limited, in collaboration with the Bank of Agriculture (BOA) and the Acquisition Systems Protection Program (ASPP), has launched a skill acquisition and micro-credit empowerment initiative for eight communities in the Calabar Municipality Local Government Area.
Some areas to cover in the skill acquisition training include cosmetology with over 30 different types of chemical based production, agricultural production with 6 animal production lines, snacks and drinks has 30 different types of snacks and 9 different types of drinks; craft and designs has dexterity work using fiber, fabrics, leather, beads among others. Cyber technology has installation, assemblage, maintenance and repairs.
The orientation/training date and time for each community varies.
Center 1 -council secretariat, orientation/training date is Tuesday 10th September 2024, Time: 10:00am
Center 2 training will hold at Akai Efa Town Hall on Tuesday 10th September 2024, Time: 12 noon
Center 3 venue is Okon Inok Town Hall, on Wednesday 11th September 2024, Time 10:00am
Center 4 has Big Qua Health Center on Wednesday 11th September 2024, Time: 12 noon.
Center 5 will be held at Essien Town Hall hall, on Thursday 12th September 2024, at 10:00am
Center 6 is scheduled at the Women Development Center, on Thursday 12th September 2024, by 12 noon.
Center 7 has Ikot Ansa Town Hall on Friday 13th September 2024 at 10:00am.
Center 8 has Mount Zion Church opposite Effi T. Hotel as venue on Friday 13th September 2024, at 12 noon.
In addition to skill training, participants will be eligible to receive micro-credit support ranging from ₦250,000 to ₦2,000,000 from the Bank of Agriculture (BOA).
The program will run from Tuesday, 10th September 2024, to Thursday, 9th October 2024, with sessions held at 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM daily across all centers.
