57 Students Benefit From Teacher Essien Ita Education Trust Fund In Cross River

In a bid to promote educational excellence for the 2025/2026 academic year, the Teacher Esien Ita Itam Education Trust Fund has awarded scholarships across the Cross River South Senatorial District.

The Teacher Essien Ita Itam Education Trust Fund was established in 2014 by the late Barr. Temitope Ekpenyong Ita in honor of her late father-in-law. The initiative has consistently invested in the education of young Nigerians, with the latest batch of awardees, bringing the total number of 609 beneficiaries since inception.

In a statement signed by Ekpenyong Essien Ita (Jnr.), on behalf of the Chairman, the scholarships span across different categories, including secondary schools, post graduate studies, Nigerian Law School, and Medical studies.

Beneficiaries are encouraged to make the most of the opportunity, noting that Education remains the key to unlocking human potential and driving innovation in a world shaped by technology and artificial intelligence. They are also enjoined to use the platform to transform their future and inspire change in their community.

In the latest batch of scholarship, secondary schools have 53 recipients, post graduate studies in University of Calabar, has 2 recipients, Nigerian Law School, Yenagoa has 1 recipient while Medical Studies (Base University, Abuja), has 1 recipient.

Beneficiaries drawn from Saint Patrick’s College, Ikot Ansa Calabar, includes: Bassey Christopher Offiong – JSS2, Eden Gregory Nsa -SS2, Inok Godfrey Inok-Abasi – SS2, Offiong Leonard Edet SS3 and Eyibo Alexander Okon – SS3.

For Hope Waddell Training Institution, Calabar, beneficiaries includes: Joseph Effiong Edem – JSS2, Raymond Nsa-Ita Ekepenyong – JSS2, Okon Martin Ekpo – SS2, Ikpeme Godwin Jacob – SS3, and Moses Ayi Ndarake – SS3.

Holy Child Girls’ Secondary School, Calabar, has Fedora Okokon Effiong – JSS3, Itam Grace Eyo – JSS2, Comfort Ikang Edet – SS3, Emmanuelle Bassey Onoyom – SS2 and Ekpenyong Nsa Effanga – SS3.

Government Secondary School Adiabo’s beneficiaries includes: Queen Effiom Nsa – SS3, Otuanwan Etim Asuquo – SS3, Paschal Gabriel Okon – SS3 and Effa Blessing Ekpenyong – SS3 and Favour Etim Offiong – SS2.

Government Secondary School Creek Town beneficiaries include: Nsa Edet Eyo – JSS1, Alex Oku Esien – JSS2, Emmanuel Bassey Out – SS2, Mary Bassey Bassey – SS1 and Grace Ibok Edet – SS2.

Beneficiaries in Government Technical College, Efut Ibonda Include: Dorcas Martin Effiong-VTC 2, Patricia Effiong Okon-VTC 3, Kingsley Edet Etim – VTC 3, Godwin Asuquo Eyo – ST2, Samuel Okon Etimb – ST3.

Edgerley Memorial Girls’ Secondary School, Calabar has Obongawan Itam Okpo – SS3, Valerie Bassey Eyibo – SS3, Bassey Edet Orok – SS1, Davina Emmanuel Ekpenyong Oku SS2, Arit Asuquo Umo – SS2.

Beneficiaries in West African People’s Institute, Calabar has the following beneficiaries: Effiong Mercy Effiong – JSS3, Ita Grace Bassey- SS2, Precious Okon Ekpenyong – SS2, Precious Asuquo Edet – SS2, Asim Ita Asim – JSS3, and Ekanem Eyo Euphepria – JSS3.

Beneficiaries in Mary Slessor Academy, Calabar includes: Effiwatt Jessie-Otu O-SS1, Inyang, Victor Edet – SS3, Edim Glory Joseph – SS1, Etim, Uyi Edet – JSS3, Effiwatt, Enoch Effiom – JSS3.
