Abi Council To Partner Beauty Queen On Skill Acquisition

The Chairman of Abi Local Government Council Mrs. Edith Amadi has pledged the council’s willingness to partner the Most Beautiful Girl in Cross River Miss Prosper Ayuk in the training of young women and girls in the art of cosmetics production and other vocational skills.

Hon. Amadi made the pledge recently when the reigning beauty queen paid her a courtesy visit in her office in Itigidi, the council’s headquarters, adding that her administration was already positioned to empowering Abi young women and girls through vocational training and skill acquisition.

She maintained that she shared a common resolve with the beauty queen whom according to her was determined to improve the livelihood of young women and girls in the society, adding that Miss Prosper Ayuk would be given the needed support at the appropriate time.

The Council boss commended the beauty queen’s commitment to fighting poverty among young women and girls while helping to make them financially independent and economically vibrant.

Earlier, the Most Beautiful Girl in Cross River Miss Prosper Ayuk said she was in Abi Local Government Council in continuation of her working visit to solicit support and partnership for her pet project.

Miss Ayuk averred that it was her desire for young women to be self-reliant and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the society rather than remain a liability and continue to dwell in poverty.
