Senate Leader, Ndoma Egba Lifts NUJ With N5million

The Senate Leader, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, is to donate a total sum of N5 million in the next five years to the newly launched Endowment Fund of the Cross River State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

Senator Ndoma-Egba who was represented at the Endowment Fund Launch/Lecture held at the University of Calabar Hotel, Calabar, Thursday by Barr. Utum Eteng, said that he will continue to do his bit for the welfare of the the NUJ members.

He stated that journalists contribute more than any other group in the fight for Nigerian Independence from the colonial masters and for the restoration of democracy and its sustenance in our country.

The Senate Leader disclosed that he will pay N1 million each year to the NUJ Endowment Fund Account, and commended the leadership of the Cross River State Council of NUJ for insisting this noble idea which is meant to give succor to the families of departed colleagues is sustained through proper management of the fund.
