UNICAL Appoints Two New Deputy Vice Chancellors

The Senate of the University of Calabar has appointed two new Deputy Vice Chancellors, DVC.

According to our source, a senior lecturer in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, where one of the new DVC was appointed from, the new DVCs are Professor Zana Akpagu, DVC Administration and and Professor Maisie Etuk Udoh, DVC Academics respectively.

Professor Zana, until his appointment was the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and he is being tipped as one of the strongest contenders for the position of the Vice Chancellor after the expiration of Professor Epoke’s administration while Professor Etuk Udoh is with the Department of Medical Laboratory Science.

The appointment of Professor Etuk Udoh has been described by many as a boost to female academics of the institution.
