The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Joe Abang, Esq has put together a fund raising meeting to raise one hundred million naira (N100, 000, 000) for an ultra modern vocational skills acquisition/development center in his community.
The Attorney General who hails from Oboso, Ogoja local government area of the State while speaking at the fund raising event maintained that the project is aimed at building the vocational skills of his people as well as its environ.
Lauding those present in spite of the fact that the road to Oboso is partially inaccessible as he accepts, Abang went on to say thank you to those present as he prayed that their personal projects too will be supported as they have done to him.
Barrister Abang stated that the Oboso one hundred million naira ultra modern vocational skills acquisition center is his own contribution from the current administration of the State to Ogoja which is why he led the donation with one million naira (N1, 000, 000) only.
The Ogoja Council Chairman, Mrs. Rita Ayim who took time to express gratitude to the guests for honoring their invitation as well as going as far as supporting, said she has high hopes that the project will be achieved and will be productive and not be politicized.
Furthermore, the Council boss promised that under her watch, she will ensure the project which she described as laudable, sees the light of the day before her tenure comes to an end in December.
