Former Cross River PDP Chairman, John Okon, Hands Over To New Chair

Ntufam John Okon, the erstwhile Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party PDP, in Cross River State has handed over to a newly elected Chairman of the party, Ntufam Edim Inok.

Edim Inok, who until election, was the Commissioner for Infrastructure, was elected by the last state congress of the PDP which held at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar.

Outgone Chairman, Ntufam John Okon, after the handing over formalities, took to his facebook wall to express gratitude to God for seeing him through his tenure and prayed that his successor will excel.

“I wish to thank God for His Grace and mercies by sustaining me through more than four years as the Cross River State PDP Chairman. I appreciate the former Governor and leader of the PDP in Cross River State Senator Liyel Imoke and Senator Ben Ayade, Governor and leader of the PDP Cross River State for the support.

“I am also grateful to my colleagues in the State exco for their support and cooperation. I am grateful to the stakeholders of PDP and indeed the good people of Cross River State for the support, prayers and encouragement. As I handover the mantle of leadership to Ntufam Inok Edim and the new exco, I pray God to continue to guide and protect you for greater achievement.” He posted.
