The Obanliku Local Government Area Community Relations Officer (CRO) to the Cross River State Governor, Mr. Daniel Okono has appointed ten information aides from the ten clans in Obanlikwu LGA as part of his strategy to ensure effective communication in the council area.

The CRO also congratulated all the Clan Heads of the various communities for their role in ensuring that peace reign in their domains at a time when there are crises almost everywhere for frivolous reasons.

The congratulatory message was delivered during an interview with CrossRiverWatch recently where he pointed out that he was impressed with the unity and manner the Clan Heads coordinated themselves when he had an interactive session with the 10 Clan Heads in the Obanlikwu LGA Paramount Ruler’s Palace in Sankwala.

Daniel reminded them to always be watchful and expose those with criminal tendencies in their midst to the law enforcement agencies no matter their social stratification, for appropriate action.

He however, regretted the incident that took place at Utanga some months back where some indigenes attacked and robbed some non-indigenes at night.

He concluded by tasking the Clan Head of Utanga and his Chiefs to ensure that such act never occur again.
