Cross River Assembly Speaker To Unveil 2nd Year Legislative Reform Architecture

All is set for the unveiling of the Cross River State House of Assembly Year II Legislative Road map.

Hinting on the event, the Speaker Hon Gaul Lebo said that the package tagged the ‘Cross River State House of Assembly 2nd Legislative Year Reform Architecture’ would be unveiled on Friday 26th August, 2016 at the Speaker’s conference Hall by 10 am.

According to the Speaker, “the document is a Road map of Legislative coordinates with specific sector frameworks indicating areas of Legislative innovations, creativity, reforms and oversights”.

The sectors to be considered will include Education, Health, Social Services, Administration of Justice, Economic Development and the Legislative Economy.

Others are Creative Funding, New Media, Enterprise Economy, Transport and Future Legislation.

The sectors will constitute the Central Organizing principle from where legislation would be drafted, initiated and passed by the House into Law for the 2nd Legislative Year.

He added that 25 Legislation have been identified for consideration either for amendment, repeal or passage under the soon to be unveiled 2nd Legislative Year Reform Architecture.
