Ayade Calls On Cross Riverians To Support President Buhari And Niger Delta Minister, Usani Usani

Cross Riverians of all socio-economic, political and religious persuasion have been called upon to whole-heartedly support the Minister of Niger-Delta, Pastor Usani Uguru Usani and the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to take Nigeria out of the present challenges to it divine destination.

The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Ben Ayade who made this call at the occasion of the thanksgiving ceremony of the Minister of Niger-Delta and son of the soil, Pastor Usani Usani in Calabar stressed that there was every need for the people of the state to support Pastor Usani and the administration of President Buhari efforts to pull the country out of recession and take it to its rightful place among the comity of nations.

The Governor who referred to materialism as vanity if not properly used, maintained that when God ordained a man to occupy a private or public office, the individual has the responsibility to provide a shoulder for the weaker ones in the society, stressing that as the Governor, he is guided by that divine philosophy.

Ayade also thanked God for the life of Pastor Usani, and described the Niger-Delta Minister as an honest and truthful citizen of Cross River and Nigeria with an earnest desire to serve his father land.

Also speaking, the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, praised Pastor Usani for his humble personality and the spirit to honor and appreciate what God has done in his life and in the lives of his family, community, and urged him to remain steadfast and focus.

In his comment, the Chairman, Niger-Delta Development Commission, Senator Victor Ndoma Egba, praised the Minister of Niger-Delta for having a mind full of gratitude and for remembering to honor God for his benevolence and for what he has done for him, while calling on all to cooperate and team up for the development of the Niger-Delta region.

Earlier in her message, the founder of Liberty Gospel Church, Apostle Helen Ukpabio said that the success and development of any nation and its people is predicated upon the premise that they recognize and obey the will of God, and said that God is always happy with any man or woman who shows appreciation for what is done for him/her.

The Chief celebrant and Minister of Niger-Delta, Pastor Usani Uguru Usani disclosed that the essence of the thanksgiving was to appreciate and openly recognize what God has done in his life amidst several challenges, adding that what God has done for him was a clear indication that God is mindful of him.

Pastor Usani therefore called on the people of the State to give him and the President total support, adding that if the necessary support is given it will enable him to draw development projects to Cross River state.

The thanksgiving service was attended by the governors of Cross River, Senator Ben Ayade, his wife, Dr. Linda Ayade, Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, the Deputy Governor of Cross River state, Professor Ivara Esu, State Assembly members, Members of the Federal and state Executive Councils, Chairmen of Boards and Parastatals, Chairmen of Local government Councils in the state, national members of APC, traditional rulers, political appointees, members of the academia, women groups among others.
