Former Culture And Tourism Minister, Edem Duke Hails CrossRiverWatch At 6

Nigeria’s former Minister of Culture, Tourism and national orientation, Chief Edem Duke has commended the management and staff of CrossRiverWatch for blazing the trail of internet journalism in Cross River State.

The commendation was contained in a letter dated August 27, 2018 and addressed to this Newspaper’s Editor-in-chief, Mr. Agab Jalingo and signed by Mr. Edem’s representative, Mr. Joe Odey.

“I use this occasion of the 6th anniversary of CrossRiverWatch to congratulate the founder, Mr. Agba Jalingo as well as the entire management for the praiseworthy feat of staying afloat and above board all these years,” the letter read.

It further read: “CrossRiverWatch has blazed the trail of internet journalism in Cross River State, actively performing all of the functions of a first rate news medium in the entire period it has existed.”

Also, Edem, who is a gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in the state, also wished the Newspaper, “many more years of progressive growth as it carries on with the tradition of objectively reporting the state.”

CrossRiverWatch began operations on August 27, 2012 and felicitations as well as criticisms have been pouring in since Sunday, August 26, 2018.
