Calabar Rovers Football Club has thrashed Ekiti United FC to a 3:0 win to secure them a third place in the Nigeria National League (NNL).
The duo teams played today at the U.J Esuene stadium with the three winning goals pouring in at the first half.
Jonathan Alukwu scored the first and third goals at fifteen and forty minutes respectively, while Ben Okotu scored the second goal at twenty-three minutes into the game.
Rovers FC had initially played Ekiti FC in it’s first leg last week Saturday at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti which earned the latter a one goal win.
The match ended with a goal aggregate of 3:1, as the Calabar Rovers team will be playing against Gateway FC of Abeokuta on Saturday 25th of May, 2019 in Ogun State.
