Ambassador Nkoyo Toyo has formally declared her intention to join the forthcoming 2023 Gubernatorial Elections in Cross River State.
She made the declaration on Saturday, during an outing with members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in her Ward in Cross River State.
While addressing the crowd, she stated unequivocally that the PDP is here to rescue Nigeria. Adding that with her waste networks, she has what it takes to recover, reset and reposition Cross River State.
In her declaration speech, the former House of Representatives member pointed out that sustainability, critical infrastructure, human capital development, economic growth, and security make up the pillars of her campaign come 2023.
Responding to the declaration, the State PDP Women Leader, Hon. Florence Inyang reiterated that Amb. Toyo is one woman who has the capacity and virtue to deliver Cross River State and restore the State to its former glory.
In the same vain the Chapter Chairman of Calabar Municipality Local Government Area Dr. Otop Oqua Otop also made clear that Amb. Toyo’s pedigree and track record speak for themselves when it comes to leadership at that level. He stated, “as a diplomat, she was exceptional, as a representative at the Federal House, she made us all proud, we do not doubt that her Excellency will do well as Governor of Cross River come 2023.”
Ambassador Toyo thanked the people for the show of love and support. She promised to keep the fire burning and see the race to a viable conclusion.
