The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Cross River State has asked all Governor Ben Ayade’s appointees and civil servants seeking to run in the 2023 general elections to resign on or before Friday 8 April 2022.
This was made known in a letter of notice made available by Mr. Erasmus Ekpang, Publicity Secretary of the APC in Cross River State, warning that “appointees and civil servants with intent to run who fail to comply with these directives, do so at their peril.”
The APC said as a matter of urgency, those occupying positions and having the intent to contest in the elections should do so on or before 4 pm on Friday.
Adding that “they should also forward the acknowledgment copy of the resignation letter to the State Legal Adviser of the party latest Monday, April 11th, 2022 for proper documentation.
