The Police in Abuja have invited the publisher of CrossRiverWatch, Citizen Agba Jalingo.
The invitation is in connection with the petition by Mrs. Alami Frank Ayade, wife of Gov. Ben Ayade’s younger brother, Frank Ayade.
Recall that on August 19, 2022, unidentified Policemen barricaded Jalingo’s Lagos residence, and held his wife, and daughter hostage.
Simultaneously, they attempted to kidnap CrossRiverWatch staff.
He was later flown to Abuja and granted bail after brisk detention and Mrs. Frank didn’t show up.
Reacting to this invitation Jalingo said, “If you see this sort of invitation, you will think I have committed an offense. That message is from Inspector Eze, one of the IPO’s in the baby lawyer petition against me.
“You say I lie against you, yet you are afraid of taking me to court to prove my case. You rather want to keep wasting public money on the police to harass me. Money that you can use to register and resit the examination that you couldn’t write by yourself. Going to the police is familiar terrain for me, I repeat. And even going to prison sef.”
Jalingo added that when he was released, the Police had asked him to come back at his convenience, and he gave them March 2023, “but if they need me earlier than that, I will go. I have never run away from law enforcement agents in over 20 years of altercation with them. But the baby lawyer should pay for my flight ticket to and from Abuja. I don’t have money to buy the ticket and I do not have a home in Abuja, so I will also need a hotel bill and feeding allowance.”
