An organization, Sweetest Kiddies Empire, has distributed thousands of textbooks to students of some public primary schools in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

The outreach, which was held at Idang Government Primary School, Calabar South, and the Salvation Army Primary School, is part of the organization’s effort to ameliorate the sufferings of the families of the students in this hard time, according to Ms. Nikita Nkese, Founder and Creative Director of Sweetest Kiddies Empires.

The organization also shared sandals and school bags to some pupils.

Nikita added that “some of these students don’t have access to textbooks. It’s been quite challenging and we have to do the little we can to ensure these children have textbooks and sandals and school bags.

“We all know how hard things are and I wish more persons can come in anyway to help and save.”

Nkese prayed for the government to intervene and help, as some of the students require more than just textbooks, sandals, and bags.
