A statement from CrossRiverWatch and the Youth Chamber of Commerce, Cross River State Chapter has announced the postponement of the Enterpreneurship Summit and Awards which was earlier scheduled to hold on October 3 at the main bowl of the Cultural Center in Calabar.
The event which was expected to be declared open by the Wife of the Governor of Cross River State, Dr. Linda Ayade with a keynote address by former governorship aspirant, Prince Goddy Jedy Agba has been postponed to Saturday, October 31st, 2015.
According to the statement signed by Mr. Emmanuel Etim, Chair of the Organizing Committee “Due to certain shortcomings observed in the voting process and complains by some nominees in the Young Business Icons Awards 2015, the organizers after an exhaustive board meeting have decided to extend the voting period by another four weeks and as such postpone the Awards to a new date.
“The awards will now hold on Saturday the 31st of October, 2015. We will do everything within our capacity to correct the anomalies observed and further publicize the opportunities for voting the nominees within this time and work with our technical team to check any form of malpractice.
“We regret any inconveniences this change in date may cause our invited guests and speakers as we work to have a free, fair and transparent award. We encourage our teeming fans and friends of nominees to continue voting for their preferred entrepreneurs and keep faith with the process and organizers of the event. Thank you for your love and support.” The statement concluded.
