The Secretary of the Cross River State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Godwin Etta is topping the list of those that have been nominated by Governor Ben Ayade to be Commissioners CrossRiverWatch can authoritatively report.
Others on the list whose submission will be deferred from today to a yet to be announced date due to the absence of the Speaker of the House of Assembly also contain the names of the former Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Itaya Nyong as well as Hon. Savior Nyong and Hon. George Obenechi, both former members of the State House of Assembly.
Others include Asuquo Ekpeyong Jr. of Channels View Hotel and Francis Etta from Abi LGA.
Our source said there are 24 Commissioners on list with a probability that the number will increased as time goes on.
CrossRiverWatch gathered that the governor will delay the transmission of the list to the Assembly till the return of the Speaker who is still in New York after attending the UN General Assembly meeting.
The governor is also said to have kept his word not to recycle any former commissioner in the state as the list is said to be devoid of any former commissioner’s name.
