Cross River Deputy Governor, Professor Ivara Esu has commissioned the secretariat of the Association of Cross River Online Journalists in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
The secretariat houses different online media platforms which are members of the association as well as the TechShack Hub; an initiative to drive the knowledge economy in the state.
And, Esu who said he was happy with the work of the association urged them to remain steadfast and reaffirmed the commitment of the state to support indigenous media outfits to tell the Cross River narrative.
He was later conducted round the secretariat by the Acting Chairman of the association, Mr. Hope Obeten and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Agba Jalingo.
Addressing members of the association in a brief meeting, Esu who was in the company of the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Tina Agbor tasked the association to uphold the ethics of the profession while calling for criticisms to be laced with suggestions to the problems identified which will make government much more goal oriented.
