Ayade’s Cousin, Gab Adah Released After Eight Days In Kidnappers Den

Mr. Gab Adah, the chairman of Grand Evolution, a political support group for Cross River Governor, Senator Ben Ayade who was kidnapped last week Thursday in Calabar has been released family sources told CrossRiverWatch on Saturday.

Mr. Adah, a cousin to the Governor was released around 1:00AM on Saturday morning after the ransom was paid late on Friday.

“He told us that he went three days without food and had to even raw editang leaves on the fourth day. He could not even take his medications and he is looking sickly,” a family source said.

He is said to have been placed on a motorcycle and had to even trek a long distance at some point before meeting the Army detachment stationed at PAMOL estate. He was later taken to their base where his family was contacted and released to them.

It is unclear how much was paid as ransom. But, CrossRiverWatch gathered that the kidnappers had demanded a N60 million ransom.

He is said to be recuperating at an undisclosed location.

He is said to have left Brix Lounge at Parliamentary extension with a know colleague in Grand Evolution.

The duo are said to have set out to sought for palm wine.

He was whisked away by unknown gunmen at parliamentary.

He spent over a week in his abductors custody.

He was a member of the State’s land use allocation committee.
