Governor Otu Has Brought Obubra Into Political, Economic Corbit – Obubra APC

The leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Obubra has lauded Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State, for bringing Obubra Local Government Area into the political, economic, and social corbit of the State.

The Governor is said to have done so through the appointment of some indigenes of Obubra into his government.

In a thank you message to the governor by the APC Obubra leadership, endorsed by Dr. Fidelis Obo, Alfred Mboto, Chief Mike Nomba, and 22 others and made available to CrossRiverWatch, the Obubra APC leadership thanked the Governor for giving their sons and daughters appointments including the Secretary to the State Government from Obubra/Etung, Professor Anthony Owan-Enoh.

 According to them: “On behalf of the Obubra APC leadership and the entire good people of Obubra Local Government Area, we wish to convey to your Excellency our strong sentiments of gratitude for the true demonstration of your unwavering commitment to restore Obubra back into the political, economic and social corbit of the State. This we have observed since your assumption of office as governor.

“In particular, we thank His Excellency for the appointment of our sons and daughters, especially the appointment of Sir Fidelis Edom Obo as a Member of the State Advisory Council; Hon. Lady Edema Irom and Hon. Andiambey Johnson Ebokpo Jnr both Commissioners for Women Affairs and Crop and Irrigation Development respectively.”

They further thanked the Governor for appointing Prof. Anthony Owan-Enoh from Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency.

The message reads in parts:  “We further thank His Excellency for the appointment of Anthony Owan Enoh as Secretary to the State Government from Obubra/ Etung Federal Constituency. We repose confidence in him and believe in his capacity to deliver on his schedule to complement the People First mantra of His Excellency.

“We equally thank you for the appointment of Dr. Egbe Ayuk Mr. Cosmas Ebori Nku, and Prince Ntui Oga as Commissioner of Health; Chairman, Cocoa Allocation Committee, Cross River State; and Director-General, Hydrocarbon and Mineral Development Agency.

“For us as a people, we also trust that our two Commissioners represent in unmistakable terms, our best assets to your administration on the one hand, and on the other, your genuine commitment for a new Obubra to emerge from our many years of Cinderella experience.

“We pledge our unalloyed loyalty and continued support to you and your administration whose signs of a new Cross River State are already obvious in the unfolding governance structure so far and as encapsulated in your policy thrust of the People First mantra. You have our goodwill in its totality.”
