CP Olusegun Warns Tactical Teams, Personnel On Unethical Conduct

The Commissioner of Police, Cross River State, CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosanyin, has charged over 200 officers from various tactical units on the importance of ethical policing and professional conduct.

The charge was made during a lecture held on Saturday, May 10th, 2025, at the Command Headquarters, Diamond Hill Calabar, by personnel from the Rapid Response Squad, Anti-Kidnapping Squad, Anti-Cultism Squad, Operation Sting, and the Crack Team, among others.

CP Eyitayo reiterated the Command’s commitment to accountability, respect for human rights, and overall professionalism. He addressed concerns regarding extortion, illegal detention, unauthorized phone searches, and the abuse of citizens’ rights.

The Commissioner reminded officers of the Nigeria Police Force’s social media policy and stressed the importance of maintaining a positive public image for the Force.

 He warned that any form of misconduct or unprofessional behavior would not be tolerated under his leadership, and that officers found in violation would face disciplinary action.

The state police Boss urged citizens to view policing as a collaborative effort towards building a safe and secure society.
